Marx Performance Horses is owned and operated by Cody and Amy Marx, their 9-year-old son Matt and daughter Laynie. Located in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, they focus on training and showing horses in reining, roping, working cow horse, western pleasure and hunter under saddle. They are also dedicated to world class all-around horses and youth and amateur competitors. This successful partnership began in 2004 when Cody and Amy accepted their first training horses together. Cody began his career in horses during high school where he was a National High School Qualifier 4 years and Top 10 finisher. He later moved to the IPRA circuit where he was Rookie of the Year and Finals Qualifier before moving into the PRCA circuit. After completing his Master Farrier license from the NC School of Horseshoeing and Lameness he started training roping horses for the public. Amy also started her show career as a youth at the AQHA shows in the all-around events. After graduating college she began working with various trainers and later started out on her own, training and showing. She later met Cody, and they merged their training businesses into one successful operation. At Marx Performance Horses, they believe showing horses should be fun as well as successful for their customers. They will go to great lengths to match their customers with the right horse. This commitment continues through all aspects of training the horse and rider, teaching and training to achieve the highest goals set forth by their clients.
